Updates:

  • New extended hours are available! You will require the enterphone as seen below to access the garage. Currently 6:30pm -9:15pm on Saturdays & Sundays, with future availability to be posted. This booking option is separate from our regular schedule, and is located at the bottom of the booking menu.

  • Extended hour appointments: Ideal if you have 100% coverage or need a last minute appointment. 30 min options if you’re needing a specific focus or in discomfort and need immediate attention.

  • Appointments booked 7pm-9pm, Monday-Friday will require the use of the enterphone located on the LEFT halfway down the garage ramp. Touch the screen, press the “CALL” button next to our name, give your name when the call’s answered & wait for the system to announce the garage is opening. Same access for DROP OFF/ON FOOT

  • Add yourself to the waitlist to secure an appointment. Even if there is no current availability, appointments do open up, usually within the week.

Card on file/cancellation policy

  • We require a valid credit card on your account to book appointments. The card is not charged when booking.

  • The card on file will be used to cover any balance owed/after your insurance has been processed.

  • By booking with us you are agreeing to our 24hr cancellation/no show policy. Full charges apply with late cancellations and no shows.

Notice for new clients

  • No reception to check you in. Quietly enter & sit. No need to announce your arrival or find your RMT. We’ll greet you shortly.

  • Health forms NOT completed prior to arrival will only receive the remaining time left of their reservation.

While at my job as a pipe fitter many years ago, I injured my neck due to the strenuous nature of the job. At my bosses urging, I booked with an RMT. I was initially apprehensive as I felt massage was a luxury and I was not aware of its therapeutic value. My therapist was a male which had me mildly apprehensive. I decided to go ahead with the treatment and in doing so, it changed the course of my life. Not only was the RMT effective, he was polite and professional which put me at ease. I was shocked that one massage could make such a difference with how I felt, that within days, I knew what I needed to do. Not long after, I enrolled in school, with a goal of offering people the same therapeutic relief that I had received .

So I started my career 16.5 years ago in the small town of Brantford Ontario, in a massage clinic treating all types of injuries. From there my love of snowboarding drew me to Banff Alberta to work at the Fairmont Banff Springs hotel. This experience was very helpful in learning to exceed clients’ expectations. From there I continued my adventure to Whistler BC, at the Scandinave Spa where my experience emphasized serenity and peace. Now I am excited to put all of these experiences together to begin Against the Grain with my partner who I am continually learning new massage techniques with and ways to enrich my clients experiences. I strive to identify the main cause of my clients discomfort and treat all necessary structures involved to help promote healing. Whether you prefer deep or gentle work, I can accommodate your specific needs to provide support and comfort throughout the treatment. We can customize a treatment plan that places emphasis on guiding your body back to a state of equilibrium, decreasing your pain and improving your quality of life. I believe that a quiet massage environment can have an impact on mind/body connection for clients, which allows me as an RMT to provide optimal service.

As an RMT, I’m entering 14 years of hands on experience, I am proud to work alongside my husband Jeff. We look to provide effective therapy which also emphasizes relaxation as being the cornerstone to healing in these stressful times.
